Editorial Friends have suggested that I publish these pages on the web to preserve and communicate the knowledge to a wide audience of interested readers. I founded the PSI SIG as a special interest group of Mensa in 1977 and it flourished for 15 years as a "labor of love". As President of the corporation and Editor of the monthly newsletter, PSI-M, I kept and still keep the archives. The Psi-M was published more-or-less regularly, consisting of about 400 pages per year. Although the membership grew to over 500 Members, getting contributions from Members and the time required for me to do all of the mimeographing and mailing was excessive.
My main purpose was and is to develop and make available a course of study and practice for folks to learn about and then practice the psychical sciences and arts, "the PS&A". A lot of work went into writing the textbook, the "HANDBOOK/ MINDBOOK". I found that, while many were interested in reading and hearing and talking about "the PS&A", few were interested in actually learning and doing. The group gradually faded down to a membership of less than 40 and was disbanded in 1992. You can see a more detailed * History .
I should mention that towards the end, when the television ads for psychic readings increased and the PSI SIG was listed in directories, we were beseiged by hundreds of telephone calls at all times of day and night for psychic readings that were annoying, to say the least. Only about 5% of the calls were encouraging, mostly from young folks seeking information.

I've been retired for several years and now I have only a few experiences from time to time, so I'm no longer hoping to set the world afire with great breakthroughs in mass human evolution nor trying to make a fortune. Now I just putter around the home and garden, take my medication, do the Magic Dragon aircar development, and look forward to my 74th birthday. My worldview is based on the notion that the ultimate purpose of life is the evolution of humankind, both individually and socially. Most recently, my thoughts have focussed on long-term developments that involve many short-term events, in contrast to short-term events, per se, that result from musings from a complex mind that operates at harmonized activities of the various functions of the mind-body-spirit interacting with various social and universal activities.

Although I've enjoyed hundreds of psychical experiences, I do not plan on resurrecting the PSI SIG as a charitable organization nor having any membership dues. Although there is still a membership application, the notion of having group members in the formal way seems to be doubtful.
Some of the information is original to the group and has not, to my knowledge, been published elsewhere, so it may be of value to someone. I would like to have a website so that anyone can share experiences, ask questions, or whatever. The PSI-M archives contain a wealth of information that could be published. I do think that a combination of the psychical science knowledge and the StrongWare methods can help anyone live a better life.
