    This session is similar to those previously reported and is an illustrative example of channelling 
guidance from an entity, in this case, Rich's original or first, guide, called "Ben". It may be noted that, 
even though Daysha has read extensively and has a fairly large library of psychical research and 
metaphysical literature, the simple basics are often in need of emphasis.

    This session might be viewed as being somewhat typical of the Meyers-Briggs INFJ personality type, 
in that it specifically treats those attributes and traits mentioned in the literature as characteristic, that 
is, the writer type. (See Psi-M for March 1984.) Although the INFJ type, Rich's, is only approximately 
1% of the general population, it seems to present a good starting point, since it does involve one of 
those who feel the urge to communicate (and it may provide some insights as to why they feel the urge). 
It then might follow that the various experiences and traits of others might be explored and explained to 
some degree as a matter of typology, through observation of those who do not share the urge to write
 by those who do.  

    Rich became acquainted with this entity simply by noting a presence during meditation and asking 
mentally if there were a person nearby and, if so, for the name of the person. It's worth noting that others 
who were developed psychically have reported perceiving Ben and describing him in terms of appearance. 
Ben reported that he had been a museum curator in Turkey circa 1200 a.d. in a town with a name that 
began with an "A". He is usually identified by his brown robe with vertical tan stripe. As time went on, 
he appeared less and less frequently in this form. Rich was introduced to other Guides as reported 
previously, and one of note was said to be a "Wan Tu", an Oriental whose specialty was "Power". 
He also plays a part in this report.

    The mundane aspects of the experiment are the same and the transcript of the audio tape recording of 
the session picks up after a standard induction by Daysha for Rich. Annotations are D*: for Daysha's 
voice and R*: for Rich's.

D*: You are in a deep relaxed state now and it is time for you to go to your laboratory. Make yourself 
very comfortable and relaxed in your workshop. Make  yourself comfortable, take your light shower, 
put on your nice robe, whichever one  you want to wear. Prepare yourself for your guests, for your 
Helpers, Guides, Teacher, Masters, or whatever. And, as you do, whatever it is that you're doing, I     
would like you to describe to me, explain to me, what it is that you are doing. 

R*: Well, there were images coming in during the last countdown... consistent images of a brown 
bird like an eagle that was very close and large, relatively large.  There was no reaction, it just 
seemed to be there. Now I'm taking a light shower.

D*: Explain the sensations and what you think and feel at the time of taking your  light shower.

R*: My forehead is loosening up, opening up.

D*: Continue to relate what you are doing as you are doing it, and what you are     experiencing.

R*: Okay. I think the forehead is all opened up, so I'll select a robe. This time,  it's of pale ivory, 
with a multi-colored border, blue-greens and yellow-oranges.     I'm sitting in my conversation pit. 
Something seems to be hanging over the middle     of the pit... a huge flower...

D*: How nice. What color?

R*: Lavender-violet.

D*: It's very nice of them to send a flower to your pit before they come.
    Why don't you reach over and flip the button that activates your TV screen, your      
picture screen, so it's ready to use if we need to refer to it?

R*: Okay, I did that.

D*: Now, is there anything else happening now that you would like to relate?

R*: Oh, I'm just getting used to it again, 'cause it has been a while.

D*: Nobody has come yet?

R*: No.

D*: In the name of God, send out an invitation to those who would be willing to join us and to 
help us and to teach us. Ask them to join you in your workshop.

R*: Yes... Off to the left, where I usually have the bookshelves, there seems to be an image of a 
huge cast-iron stove, similar to the one back in Detroit that I'm familiar with, which is an advertising 
gimmick. It's a stove about forty feet  high. Then on the right side there seems to be another 
cast-iron object with sort of aluminum paint finish to it. Not sure why these would come in at all. 
Now there seems to be a person sitting in my place, as if I'm behind it and elevated. And       
the person is wearing a red and yellow robe and that seems to be Wan Tu, who is the Oriental Guide 
who represents "power" for me. He seems to reach up with his  left hand, his back still towards me, 
and hands me an ear of corn, sort of an old ear of corn.

D*: What is the object, symbolism, or meaning involved here of the ear of corn?

R*: It says, FOR ENERGY.

D*: What type of energy?

R*: PSYCHIC ENERGY.

D*: What do you do with this older ear of corn?

R*: I don't know, may as well eat it.

D*: Is there a specific meaning to the colors of his robe?

R*: Not really, just decoration.

D*: Does he have any words of wisdom to impart to us to help us tonight?

R*: He seems to be persistent. I guess he's going to be with me this time. I don't see     
his face, It fades in and out, but his mandarin hat seems persistent.· It's black.

D*: Is he going to stay with you and work with you?

R*r Yes.

D*: What is he going to help you attain?

R*; POWER.

D*: Psychic power?

R*: OVER THINGS.

D*: And haw are you supposed to use this power?

R*: TO lNCREASE YOUR STRENGTH AND BELIEFS.

D*: Physical strength?

R*: No... lt was beginning to... like a Chlnese stage Show, sort of a blob of cloth or somethlng that slid 
down and slides onto the floor. I think there is some kind of  a lesson going to be shown here. I'll watch 
it and see if I can... now there seems to be an acrobat on the table there with her feet up fn the air. 
Somebody comes in... I guess,..it's a girl dressed in a Chinese costume and she walks across wlth     
her feet all up in the air... tha word FULCRUM seems to stay persistently..;     AND.BALANCE., 
I'M HERE BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH. There was some marble, but now there's a glass bowl, 
with light shinlng on the end, some irregularlties.

D*: Any specific purpose or meaning to the glass bowl wlth the light shining on it?

R*: Well, ! was waiting for something to come out of that; but then I sort of shifted into a slight side vision. 
I lost track of that, can't bring it back now... The glass bowl is persistent, it's as if I brought it back, 
then it came out of the ray of light and so I put it back down. Then there was something else that     
happened and it's as if there was somethlng else blocklng if, made of ice ...     curved effect. 
There is somethlng between me and the bowl.

D*: Did you have a drink of something that was in the bowl? 

R*: No. I'm still trying to get it upright without it turning over again. It's as if there are these big 
metal shears in my way, so, if I reach for it, they would cut off my wrists or something. So I have to 
go around them, or over them. I'll just tell them to get out of the way... yes, it's symbolizing fear.

D*: The shears are symbolizing fear?

R*: Yeah.

D*: Did you overcome it?

R*: I'm pushing them out of the way.

D*: Very good.

R*: Now there was a person who started to come in from the right, sort of a gentlemanly older fellow, 
tallish. And then I call for Ben and he is starting to come in from the left here... now, instead of the Ben 
image, with the brown robe, there is a white blob of rock, wlth some light bluish-green spots, almost like a 
foam or something. It's as if the fellow on the right, he's a sort of a Ray Milland character, you know, 
and he is saying, 

    "THIS IS YOUR SUPPLY OF FOAM, USE IT WISELY."

D*: And what is the foam to be used for? 

R*: Oh, it's a healing foam you rub on people.

D*: Okay. 

R*: In a sort of a psychic way. It sort of glows, brightly. It has these blue-green healing spots. 
I tried rubbing it on myself, to see if I can feel anything, but l can't. So, I guess I'm just supposed 
to bear in mind that it is there to use. I'll see If some kind ot message comes through for it...
 that all just faded away, now     It's a11 blank, it's aIl gone.

D*: There's nobody there with you? 

R*: No.

D*: Are you experiencing any kind of sensation or anythlng at all?

R*: I see an image of a... what looks like a fossil rock, with an imprint of a leaf on it, a long 
narrow leaf, like a feather. Maybe it is a feather.

D*: Any meanlng to this?

R*: Not yet. It's as if I'm golng to write with this piece of rock with the impresslon     
of a feather in it, as if the feather were there and I'm writing with the feather as a quil1 pen...
 I get several "eye" images now.

D*: Is there anybody there or is there anybody you can call in who would take you on a     
trip, who would take you to some other level?

R*: Well, let's see If I can call on Ben or some Guide... No... 
Some rocky caves here, let's see what's here. It's llke a small cavern, with a     
doorway there to one of these caves, inside a ravine.

D*: Is this doorway a doorway to another level of existence?

R*: It's tike a tomb.

D*: Is it somethlng that you would llke to explore and see where it leads?

R*: It's okay, let's try it and see what happens.

D*: Allow yourself to open the door and go through, if there is no fear.

R*: I put a waistrope on.

D*: Pardon?

R*: I put a waistrope on. l'm still outside there. 
    I'll make up a lamp here, or something.

D*: Is there any specific sound or thoughtwave,or word or whatever you have to use to     
open this door here7

R*: No, It's just a doorway.

D*: Okay.

R*: There was another object to the right. I saw a 

    "DOORWAY TO WEALTH" 

    and then alI of these coins spilled ouf of the doorway like you hit the jackpot on     
a one-armed bandit or something. The words are, 

    "IT'S ALL FREE FOR YOU." 

    I say, "What do I do with this?" It says,

    "SPEND IT, AS YOU WILL. "

D*: Where is this coming from?

R*: It's like my storage box in Heaven is full. If says,

    "YOU HAVE PLENTY TO USE, SPREAD IT AROUND."

    Now I'm getting Wan Tu again. It says,

    "POWER IS LIKE THAT. SPREAD IT AROUND TO OTHERS TO USE FOR YOU. "


D*: Sounds like very sage advice. 

R*: "LESS WORK FOR YOU, WITH THEM RE--" ...

    doesn't make senae, not clear. It faded, and it's a miscellaneous image that    
 swooped up in that place... round.

D*: These others will relieve you of some of your burden, some of your load?

R*: Yes, that's the idea.

    "YES, IT IS A.GREAT IDEA FOR YOU TO SHARE THE WEALTN WITH THEM. 
    AS YOU OPEN THEM UP, THEY WILL LEARN MORE, TOO. BUT THE POWER IS NOT 
FOR THE USE     OF THOSE WHO WOULD USE IT UNWISELY, WlTHOUT LOVE."

D*: Without love?

R*: "IT MUST BE USED GOOD ONLY. "
   
I'm stlll puzzled as what "the power" is. Now it shows this large crystal gem with hundreds of facets. 
I don't see what any power has to do with it, or what the power is.

D*: Is it the power of the crystal?

R*: I'm gonna ask, "What is this power you speak of?"
    The crystal's still there. 

    "TO LIGHT UP THE SOUL."

    And it's like beams, laser beam, are coming out of it, coming out of the crystal.

    "TO KINDLE THE ENERGY."

D*: Does this have anything to do with crystallizlng the healing in bodies? 

R*: "YES, IT IS A FORM OF HEALlNG TO TURN ON THE LIGHT OF THE SOUL AND 
    LET IT SHINE THROUGH THE BODY. "

D*: Must healing first begin in the soul of the person being healed?

R*s "NO, IT CAN ALSO BEGIN IN THE ..."

    ..looks like "soul' agaln, starts wlth an "S"--

    "...SELF, THE MIND, THE BRIDGE TO THE SOUL. THE MIND IS WORKING BETTER NOW, 
    BUT YOU NEED MORE LIGHT IN YOUR SOUL TO GET THE POWER OUT."

    I was getting a phrase...

    "DON'T BE SO FORGETFUL."

    ..something like that, then there was this bronze bust of Shakespeare or Bacon, 
    something like that--

    "WRITING IS YOUR J0B, TO LESSEN THE DARKNESS, IN THEIR SOULS, 
    SHINING YOUR LIGHT ON ALL OF THEM. " 

    Now it switched.. there's something like a person's head, that comes to a small bump on top, 
with a bright, rayed light on it. 

    There was sort of a side thing there, I don't know why that came up, It had to do with a bicycle... 
The main thing faded in and out and I lost it for a while... 

    Now there is some kind of a Norse Viking ship... l don't know how that got in there.

D*: Are you on this Viking ship? 

R*: No, I was just watching it. Now, I'm back to where... not sure. . .. .

D*: Does he have any parting words for us before we close our session tonight?

R*: Says, 

    °LOOSEN UP SOME MORE NEXT TIME. "

D*: Wlll he return to help us some more again next time?

R*: Yes.

D*: Please thank Wan Tu for me as well as for yourself and give him our deepest and most sincere 
blesslngs and wish him Godspeed, thank him and invite his return next     time.

R*: Says something about "THE TAO."

D*: The Tao?

R*:"THE	TAO IS HERE AND NOW. GOODNIGHT.°

D*: Goodnight, blessings and thank you,
