- 1964-1968. Military active duty in the Air Force Systems Command; 
  assigned to Space Systems Division, 
   Communications Satellite Test & Deployment Office for System Safety;

  Test Wing Safety Office. Lead System Safety Engineer.

- 1995 - Participated in Mayor's Operational Improvement Task Force.

Specific Achievements: Supported approximately two thousand
projects, ranging from major weapon systems to numerous smaller
projects, including several "firsts": military communications
satellite; tilt-rotor research aircraft; airborne chemical laser;
long-endurance drone; and airborne high-energy laser.

Related Experience:   Developed and implemented an integrated
industrial safety, system safety and environmental protection
plan, including tailored laboratory technical safety, system
safety, HAZCOMM, HAZRAD, HAZMAT, and HAZWASTE programs for a
billion dollar per year laboratory complex of over a hundred
facilities. Hired and supervised Environment Manager and Trainer.
Participated in base level Environmental Protection Committee. 
Coordinated activities with other agencies in bioenvironmental
engineering, industrial and munitions safety, laboratory
management, contract monitoring, environmental management, fire
protection, supply, civil engineering, personnel and labor
representation. Directed and developed programs and participated
in monitoring and inspection activities involving  hazardous
materials, investigating spills and releases, cleaning up,
storing, coordinating protective equipment inventorying, etc,.

Education:
- 1964: Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical
  Engineering from the University of Michigan;
- 1975: Master's Degree in Industrial Management and Supervision
  from Central Michigan University; and
- 1960-1988: Professional Military Education through 
  Air War College.

- Formerly registered as Professional Engineer (Safety) in California;
- Currently registered as a Professional Engineer in Ohio.

- Command Pilot and Senior Missileman ratings.
